Cartridge Rebuild Programme
To protect against damage to the cantilever and wear to the stylus tip of this product,
we offer our Cartridge Rebuild Programme, a paid service.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE REBUILD PROGRAMME
By participating in the programme, the customer agrees with the following:
This is not a standard warranty that Audio-Technica normally offers.
Audio-Technica offers a replacement of the whole motor unit (stylus tip, cantilever, coils and rubber dampers).
Audio-Technica warrants that the product quality and specifications of a rebuilt AT-MCD1 will be the same as one newly produced, however, the sound quality will not be exactly the same.
The Rebuild Programme may not be available in cases where the customer’s AT-MCD1 does not meet certain preconditions (e.g., there are missing parts, magnet is demagnetized, there is too much corrosion, any non-Audio-Technica repair has been done, etc.)
WHAT WILL BE REBUILT?
This programme provides the replacement of the whole assembly, including stylus tip, cantilever, coils, and rubber dampers.

*This service is only available for AT-MCD1.
Before Requesting This Service
Please be aware of the following details:
We inspect the cartridge to see if it is still performing at its original level. However, we cannot provide numerical performance results.
If the test results indicate that the cartridge is no longer performing as well as it did originally, we may recommend our cartridge rebuild programme.
Please note that the performance inspection is a manual process carried out by specialists and may take some time to complete. We will provide you with a time estimate after checking the condition of your cartridge.
