Forced update

If an error, such as the power being turned off, occurs during the firmware update and the update does not end normally, an error may occur even when the power is turned on, and the product may not start normally. When this happens, the microphone can be restored by performing a forced firmware update.

  1. Fix the IP address of the connected control device.

    • If the microphone suffers an error during start-up due to an error that occurred during the update, the settings will be as follows.
      IP Config Mode: Static
      IP Address: 192.168.33.102
      Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.000
    • To connect the microphone to the network, fix the IP address of the Windows PC or Mac to an address that can communicate with “192.168.33.102”. (Example: 192.168.33.100)
  2. Connect the control device to the same network as the microphone.

  3. Launch the web browser of the control device.

  4. Clear the history and cache of the web browser.

    • Not clearing the history and cache may prevent the display and functions from working properly when Web Remote is launched.
  5. Enter “192.168.33.102” as the microphone IP address.

Web Remote will be launched in forced update mode.

  6. Select and open a firmware update file.

  7. Click “Update”.

The update will start. Once the update is complete, the microphone will automatically reboot. Once rebooted, the IP Config Mode will switch to “Auto”.

  8. Check the version from Web Remote or the Firmware Update screen of Digital Microphone Manager.

    • Check the “Firmware Version” to confirm that the microphone was correctly updated.
  • Once updated, new firmware functions or improvements may prevent the display and functions from working properly when Web Remote is launched. When this happens, clear the history and cache of the web browser in use.
