Beam Settings
Item | Description |
---|---|
Beam Sensitivity |
Set the beam sensitivity. Low: Beam direction detection accuracy is prioritized. Reactions to noises other than voices will be decreased. The beam tracking reaction speed will be slower. Mid: This is the most balanced setting. High: Reaction speed of beam tracking is prioritized. Reactions to noises other than voices will be increased. |
Auto Attenuation | This function attenuates the levels of beam zones in which no talker has been detected for a certain period of time. It works by lowering the level of unwanted sound to prevent raising the noise floor, while also preventing decreased clarity due to mic bleed. Setting to “ON” (blue) will enable the Auto Attenuation function. |
Attenuation Level[1] | Adjust the attenuation level of Auto Attenuation. |
Hold Time[1] | Adjust the time until Auto Attenuation determines that a talker is not detected. |
Room Type | This parameter is used to correct for speech position deviations due to the reverberation characteristics of the room. Dry: No speech position correction. Use this setting when the room has low reverberation. 300 msec or less is suggested for the RT60. Live: Applies slight speech position correction for deviations caused by mild reverberation. Use this setting when using the product in generic conference rooms. 300 to 800 msec is suggested for the RT60. Reverberant: Applies strong speech correction for deviations caused by strong reverberation. 800 msec or higher is suggested for the RT60. |
[1] This is possible when “Auto Attenuation” is set to “ON” (blue).
